Egypt's Unfinished Revolution

Egypt is still a mess. That is easy to see. Their revolution completely fell through. There is no more trust in the military. The economy is still stumbling. The tourists haven't come back. And there is still a long way to go. But, there is hope.

Egypt's democratically elected parliament met for the first time on Monday. This is a good sign for the country that has never recovered from the initial overthrow of Mubarak last year. In recent months, protests have returned. This has lead to clashes with the military that is currently in control. But, the parliament is a good sign. This is also a sign that a radical Islam group will take over and turn Egypt into another hot bed for terrorism.

  1. Has this parliament accomplished anything yet? And is comprised of Non-Mubarak legislators? I feel like Egypt was really important for about a month and then things died down a lot. Hopefully for Egypt their new, more democratic government will suit them better.
